Thursday June 9, 2008. Cincinnati Red’s vs Florida Marlins. He hit #600 against Marlins Pitcher Mark Hendrickson with a man on third in the 1st inning. The homer was 413 feet.

Griffey’s name can be finally said in the 600 club. Imagine how far ahead in homeruns his career would have been had he not missed so many games. To be exact, well approxamitely 417 games. He has had an unbelievable career and was a great player to watch, I congratulate him in this great accomplishment that very few people can achieve. We can now finally stop switching new balls in for Griffey every at bat.
